Dennis began training in the martial
art, Hapkido in January, 1994 and began
his pursuit in becoming a martial artist /actor.
Dennis directed and starred in his first
action short film when he was 19 years old.
At this time, he held a blackbelt rank in Hapkido, and began to teach martial arts full
time to all ages while continuing his pursuits
in the film industry.
Dennis began to collaborate with local filmmaker Jose Montesinos on several film
projects. In 2004, Dennis joined "The Stunt People," a local independent group of
action film makers and stuntmen. "The Stunt People's" feature film "Contour" (in which
Dennis plays the villian) was nominated for "Best Action Choreography" and "Best
Action Sequence in a Martial Arts Film" in the 2006 Action On Film Festival held in Los
Angeles. "Contour" is now available to purchase on DVD.
The following year, Dennis' short film "Fievel Throws Down" was accepted into the
2007 Action On Film Festival. It received a nomination for "Best Fight Choreography,"
and Dennis was nominated for "Break-Out Action Star."
In 2008, Dennis signed with Look Talent Agency and booked his first role in 2009 as
"James Walker" on NBC's "Trauma" (premiering in the
2009 fall season). Dennis also makes his film debut in the 2009 Bollywood film "Love Aaj Kal" as "Santos"
